It is Couple of week ago, Shafique Invited me Indore. So me(Vaibhav Bajaj) and Rahul Talreja both from Bhopal planned to go Indore. We were little late at the event.
Firstly, Shafique Patni took the deice and gave the Introduction of Mozilla, Explained the Mozilla Mission, Contribution Areas. Students listened to him very nicely and also they interacted with some question pop up in their mind. He also explained the benefits of contributing in Mozilla. After this, He explained the Web maker Project and its mission to make people web Literate with its three tools: Thimble, Popcorn and Goggle X-ray. Out of these three he took session on Popcorn and X-ray Goggle. The students enjoyed a lot by learning the Web maker tools.

After that he called up Deep Raj for Thimble session and Explain the FSA. What FSA is? What FSA do? FSA activities. Deep Raj took the Thimble session so nicely also he explained some tags of HTML5.

After his part he called me (Vaibhav Bajaj) to tell them about a small but amazing tool of Mozilla “Etherpad” or “MoPad”. Students are very surprised and exited after learning about MoPad. I asked them its Uses, They answered me: for planning, for meeting, for discussion and for chatting :D

After the MoPad, I tell them a little about how the websites track us, what we should do for that, what losses we have. I told them to go in Tools => Options => Privacy => “Tell sites that I don’t want to be tracked”

And after me again Shafique took a small session on Light Beam explaining students with the demo that how you are tracked by third party sites and how you can stop them using Light Beam and other browser settings. He called some new Mozillians which are doing awesome. And asked them about the contribution area and explained it students:

Meet up @ WoManiya :)

          Hello Mozillians !

Today, I want to share about the meetup held at Frespresso Cafe   Dated : 19/01/2014.

After the discussion on ether pad we decided to fix a meet up so that everyone can put on his/her views and we also got different ideas for the event.

Till Now :

We planned how we will utilize two days and created Agenda also we have discussed roles and work areas.

Today:

We have to think about the other things which are not big but a part of our event
Like : Food, Sound, Internet connectivity, projector, Flex design, poster design, social awareness  and I-card design also.
Out of these issues/topics/remaining things, we had discussed mainly for the Designing part and no. of registration for students because these are the basic and priority things for an event.

Designing Part:

For this work we have a designing star Prince, and designing mentor JafarMuhammed who is capable of designing each and everything and know how to play with pictures and graphics.
He also has skills to guide other volunteers (e.g. Saket Jain) to make help him in that work.

Publicity Mediums :

We had a great discussion over this topic everyone was giving their points. At the end we conclude that we can :-

  •    Go to different colleges (in Bhopal there are 130 engineering colleges and 20 Degree colleges) and talk to the head of IT/CS about the event, give them a short intro of the Mozilla & its Mission.

  •  Opt press as an option to publish our news in their media (if they agree for free).

  •  Flex on college buses.

  • Posters in College notice board.

  • Blogs and pages on social networking sites.

  • Post the event news or posters frequently so that students talk about it thoroughly.

  • Approach to coaching Institutes like T.I.M.E. and others.

This was the discussion in which we enjoyed and discussed a lot of things for the event

Hello dear Mozillians !
I am again here to share another success Story with you.
So this time we went to my college as I am a student of Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology & Management (GGITM) Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal, Pursuing BE in Final year in the IT stream. As I shared the invitation of MozSummit 2013 with my HOD,
they asked eagerly "why they invited you? " then it took approx 40-50mins. to share all about Mozilla and its Mission and what i did for Mozilla with HOD.

In between the conversation, I took the permission for Mozilla Event in GGITM. And we got it! Then we (Mozilla Bhopal) arranged meetup and decided the schedule on the day of the event and planned in a better way as learnt from previous events.

Finally the day came and we reached the campus by 10:00am, all things are settled prior we arrive in the Lab. And we started with the word "Mozilla"     \m/...........\o/

Firstly, our ReMo  Ms. Komal_ji_Gandhi took the mic and started the event with the Question "What is Mozilla? and What is Firefox?" She gave all details about Mozilla and its Mission, also she gave idea about FSA program and then over to me I gave the detail about FSA program(Who are we/What we do/How to Join) as I am one of FSA from Bhopal and then I started the live session on Webmaker tools as Thimble and Hackasauras! After learning the working of tools students are eager to use them so we gave task to them with time limit to build makes.
Applying the Knowledge in Computer Lab

All students created awesome makes by using respective tools. We can check All makes by click here...

After submitting all links of makes by student on Ether pad. I explained them the use of Ether pad and then Komal_ji Talked about "Special space for Girls in Mozilla : Womoz"

#KitchenTable 25/07/13

Hi all, I am very Excited to share my experience of my first #KitchenTable with all of you. And sorry for sharing late. From when Maker Party is announced, a person is continuously motivating me to take a session in school or plan for a kitchen table and prepared me for that is no one but Komal_ji_Gandhi, yes she is the person who is always there to support me. Now without wasting time I would like to come to the point as said above, I had decided and planed a #KitchenTable to #teachtheweb. In this kitchen table the participants are my colony mates(students between 7th standard to 12th standard) they are five in numbers. I used to play outdoor games with them.

On the day I shared my plan of Kitchen Table with them, they are very excited to know more about Mozilla and presurised me to take the event in a week. I arranged the #KitchenTable for them and then i started explaining about Mozilla, Its Products, What is Web?, What is the meaning of Open Source?, How we can Use the Web?, And Finally The #Webmaker tools Thimble, Hackasaurus and Popcorn.

While teaching them I looked at them, all are curious of what's happening and want to know the web better. After 30mins of knowledge sharing by me, they combined prepared a post card and a Popcorn by capturing a video of neighbor's empty house.

 MozConnect '13

Date: 06/07/13
Speakers:
Faisal Aziz, Ashish Namdev, Sara Khan and Komal Gandhi

Hello everyone!
Again i came up with a new event summary held at Indore (Malwa Institute of Science & Technology(MIST) which is one of the best college in Indore city.We got the opportunity to take a session on Mozilla and its Mission,Products and Tools. There were a great number of students came to attend the session also there were Girls attendees too. There faces are like they want to learn and listen from us.

Therefore we didn't wasted their precious time and started the session with the Welcome of Mr.Faisal Aziz as a senior Volunteer among us. He talked about "What is Mozilla", "Mozilla Products and Its Mission" through this all attendees come to know what actually Foss world is.
They cleared their doubts also about the myths of Mozilla and Foss world. This session was the most interactive one.

Before leaving the mic Mr.Faisal Aziz had invite Mr. Ashish Namdev to take a session on "Testing" When he started the session the faces (students)  are looking like they are very exited for what Ashish sir is going to deliver them. The session was very knowledge giving for all including us.

"Now, we are inviting Ms. Sara Khan on the stage", After this line by Ashish sir, Sara Khan took a great and fruitful session on "Womoz". As there were many girls Attendee  so the response was great, this session was very interesting for them and she also talked about the different opportunities for Womoz in Mozilla.

After this enthusiastic session of Testing, its time to say Wooooooo...........to "Womoz".

After a short break every body gets back to their seats with same no. of attendees (as in break most of the time students bunks the onward session).
Now it was a time to make something amazing and together! Ms. Komal Gandhi took a session on "Firefox Flicks" and ask the students to participate in the Contest also she gave the details of the Contest, How they can make a short film, How to Submit, What the theme is This Time. Then she played some winning videos in-front of attendees to encourage them.

After this, Sara Khan and Komal  Gandhi took the hands-on session  on "Web-maker" they both done a great job by explaining the all web-making tools. As this is a live session every student was enjoying the Popcorn/Thimble/Hackasaurus. Also some students got success in making videos and templates with the tools.

After this session, l10n was carried forward by Faisal Aziz and Sara Khan. They talked about  how they can work and contribute on different localized projects. Also they made them familiar about the Nemo Project.

At last we introduce all the Students with the Brand New Firefox Mobile OS. We deliver the news about launching and the most awesome thing is we gave the Keon devices in there hands to feel the awesomeness of Firefox OS by themselves.

And as we always do, we distribute the SWAG among the students. The event was a grand success. There were around 100 attendees(approx.)
